OK, let me announce my arrival here on Shouting Grounds.
“Hear-ye, hear-ye, oh cometh o blessed Lord, with the light cast through thy heavenly gates, let us pray unto thee. Therefore the one who bringeth who’s daily bread hast not gone to waste, the shadow of doubt cast upon the dead by the light of the Lord, may this day bring new hope and enchantment to thyself. I bring you, o blessed Lord, Socrates Points!”
Now with that out of the way, what is the exact intention of this blog? I think somewhere about 20 posts ago, the main idea was lost. Are we just blogging about anything, or should be go back to movies? You guys are all over the place with topics!

Dude, it is what it is. I think the title says it plainly enough what it’s all about. Post what you think and we discuss. You wanna post about movies, go ahead and we’ll discuss. News? Go ahead. You’re pissed because Apple released something that isn’t to your standards? Be my guest. You want to do another podcast? Let me know. Do you have anything to say, hopefully besides, “what is the point of this blog?” Tell us about it.
So with that out of the way. Welcome aboard!
Get posting!

I just think either we should stick with movie posts/blogs. Did you know that since you have started this blog, communication has been down to an all time low? Not very many emails are sent around these days. Not many phone calls are made either. The blog is the anti-social, that’s all I’m saying. Discuss here, be quiet later.
Also, can other people join the blog? How about guests? We STILL need an audience. If it’s just us blabbin’ about bullshit, let’s get together over a drink or two and blab it that way. Otherwise, we’re shooting ourselves in the foot here!

Did you know that ever since Brian, (who has worked his ass off this thing so I would think the least you could do is show some appreciation for that) started this blog only communication with YOU has been at an all time low.
If you’ll notice Bria, Yates, and myself post here constantly and we also talk via IM, which I never see you on anymore either.
I’m sorry but your above comment is just example of your constant fucking negativity and yes it pisses me off. It’s not so much your message it’s how you go about stating it. Yes, we certainly could dedicate some posts to movie content, but to come on here after the site has been live and we’ve been posting for months and slam it the way you do is just shitty dude. Plain and simple.
I’m not trying to start any shit and you know you’re my man a hundred grand and all but at this point I’m questioning your ability to contribute anything in a positive manner.
Prove me wrong?

I second Shannon’s remark that since Beard created this thing, the three of us have been talking more than usual, hence the reason why I was pushing you to post when I saw you on NYE.
It’s sad that we don’t see each other as much anymore, but at the very least we’re communicating here, and even when Beardo and I get into a war over Apple, we’re still talking and in the end, we know that we’re still buds.
At least we’re on here, discussing our opinions on SOMETHING. You’re free to write a review, or post a video review which I’m sure beard would be happy to post on SGTV…Shannon and I have discussed something similar.
Instead of busting our balls for using this blog, ask yourself why it’s taken you so long to join us only to complain about how we’re doing it.

On the subject of SGTV, I was talking to Tony about that last night and we figured that the best thing to do would be to host the videos through a youtube account.
This solves two problems.
1. You guys can post videos to it, without my interaction.
2. We may generate a few more clicks because it opens traffic from people searching for video. Setting a site to be found via a site search is not enough.
I’ll start one today and send y’all the account info. It will be hosted on the front page in place of the existing video thumbnail.
What do you think?
Oh and I added a show/hide comments button. Badass!

I do enjoy the show/hide comments, makes the blog into a simple forum.
Kudos, my good man

Next step is to get the focus to stay consistent when hiding the comments. Right now, the focus stays exactly where the show/hide comments link was located, instead of back to the top of the article in question.
This will be fixed shortly.

Ok, I have it so that the page directs to the top of the article whose comments you’ve hidden. Let me know if that’s a pleasing behavior, or whether it should be changed.
It would be nice to somehow sample where your currently located then translate the final location from that original spot. So it seems like a certain part of the article is stationary.
What ever you click on is the focus of the transition I guess is what I’m trying to say.
Lemme know.

I like it the way it’s working right now…good stuff
