I’m sure chall have read/heard that Heath Ledger died today of what the authorities are guessing is a possible drug overdose/accident. I don’t know for sure what happened. And without granduerising the man after he’s dead, let me say that this guy showed the makings of what could have been one of the great actors of our generation. While I didn’t find myself racing out to see every one of his movies, I still feel a sorrow inside myself knowing that he’s gone.

Here, here. It is always sad to see young people pass away because of all the works that are left forever undone.
You have to think about the 3931 U.S. Soldiers that have died in Iraq who will also leave their life’s works undone. The majority of which were younger than Heath. Hopefully people will take moments like this and regain their value of human life and the impact a single person can make on the world.

He was definitely a star on his way up who I believe could have done great things with his career. The really tragic part is that he was one of the few actors who got into Hollywood on his looks alone, despised that fact, and instead of allowing himself to be typecast broke the mold and showed everyone he had true talent and ability.
Many people talked shit about Brokeback Mountain when it came out but you won’t find many 25 year old actors who could turn in such a powerful performance in such a challenging role.
R.I.P Heath. We hardly knew you, but of what we knew, we loved.
